Wine Flight Social is ready to take off!

After months of “shall I or shan’t I” and running out of friends and family to experiment on, I’ve finally taken the plunge and am formally launching Wine Flight Social.

It’s been a busy few months getting the business set up. Applying for alcohol licenses, designing, and producing learning materials and purchasing large quantities of sample size bottles and ISO tasting glasses during a mail strike. The latter turned out to be a little trickier than I expected, as one order of 48 bottles, when arrived had morphed into a pair of slippers and a size 24 onesie! I’d loved to have seen the reaction of the intended recipient who got my order instead: “Blimey Stan this onesie I’ve got for Doris for Christmas must be great quality given the weight of the box alone”.

I’d also like to give a special thank you to Lisa @yourcreativefriends for her creativity and patience in getting WFS digital presence set up and Jim Bennett for the photography.

Through hosting your own Wine Flight Social or through just following my blogs I’m hoping that you will discover an enjoyable, fun and unintimidating way to learn more about wine. So that next time you are looking to buy a bottle or two you will be able to use your newfound knowledge to find the one that you know you will like.
